No.
The House lost the vote on the Patriotic Act - their own act. Not only that, but a freshman House Rep (R) stated in interviews that he didn't even know they were going to vote - and yet - he voted yes. He didn't even know what he was voting ON, let alone voting at all, but still...he voted yes.
The amazing thing about our new House of Representatives? The fact that former Chairman of the RNC, Michael Steele, is coming out from under and starting to look damn good. Go figure. He's actually becoming the 'go to' guy for left wing pundits!!! And based on a recent appearance on the Daily Show, he's damn funny too.
Never has the phrase, "Politics makes strange bedfellows" seemed more appropriate than now.
This blogger believes that, "...government is intended to accomplish those things that best serve the people but should never be for profit." I'm an unapologetic liberal and believe in doing unto others as we'd have them do unto us and that no one is too heavy a burden; and a forward-looking America is the goal (as opposed to shoving us back into the 50's).
